Below is our part 2 2023 staffing blog, of what trends we will most likely see in the staffing industry for employees:
- Referrals to drive new hiring
- Referrals are one of the best ways to bring in more employees. There are several benefits of hiring through a referral, such as providing a reward for the referring employee, and it is cost saving for the organization. It has grown to be a more popular way of staffing and continues into the year.
- Power skills to dominate in recruiting
- Power skills are the set of people skills that are crucial for a dynamic or ever- changing working environment. We have learned that the economy can change at any minute, as recent years have shown. It is important for employees to carry power skills, such as adaptability, work ethic, critical thinking, time management, empathy, and more. In times past, these skills might have been identified as “soft skills,” but with our complex and developing environment, these are the power traits employees must have.
- Candidate experience
- It is key for recruiters to understand a candidate’s experience. This will show recruiters what a candidate’s attitude and behavior are within the interview and hiring process. If they don’t have a positive experience, it can hurt a recruiter’s chance of bringing in additional candidates and have to figure out a better process. If it all goes well, it can push the candidate to refer more candidates, going along with the increase in referrals trend. It is one of the best ways to drive candidates in and keep an employee in a satisfied workplace.
